Parallel Basic Income / Greece: for Peace

(-> Deutsche Version)

The basic income and the financial support to Greece are two very similar news topics: do we help the one who has lost (almost) everything or do we let him die on the street.

The bank system won't miss anyone. African countries are exactly in the position as Greece since years: rich companies spoil the resources, "own" everything, because they've got the money, and the Africans not ... In Greece, it will be just the same, then in Ireland, and some day in Germany too. The US probably in between! The rich of the world are fighting against each other to own everything, and are getting more and more. Everything is becoming private. The citizen of the world has less and less rights.

Now, it is a time of repression - psychological I mean - everywhere spread through the press: Greece is alone guilty, the Greeks are lazy, Greece should have been more careful, and so on.
But Greece is just the weakest link of the European Union. There must be one! The outrage over the falsified budget to enter the monetary union is just a distraction from the real problem: First, the other countries knew at that time about the financial situation of Greece, two, it's not about the Greeks, nor the Irishmen or the Portuguese, it's about the whole monetary system, worldwide. When Greece is gone, the next weakest country will takes the place!

"does Hartz IV make lazy?"

Now, let's have a look deeper in this social fractal, direction social policy.. ... Exactly! Discussions on social benefits like the German "Hartz IV", the French "RSA" - and you have yours too in your country - employs the same vocabulary about the unemployed: "it's their own fault", "they should spend less money", "they just have to work"...

We have to open our eyes rapidly.

The consequence of such hostility is war; civil war, european war and then world war. History is full of such scenarios. Do we really need something like this to restart the economy, destroy everything once again? Don't we have a better solution?

We are currently on a path with no future. While we grumble, on the federal level, at the banks because they threaten our economy by immoral money games, we protect the same banksters (and their "big money" clientele! ) against the Greeks!!

I dare to show a deeper level of the world society: the family, a level that affects us all and means emotionally a lot to us.
Children often suffer under the pressure of their parents, our society too is waiting a lot from them. Besides obeying and doing the "right" thing, children must go to school, study, success, and very often have to cope alone far too early. The parents repeat their own history without self-appraisal or reflexion, without sparing their own child this same pain. They repress their own pain and transmit it just like that.
Put under such pressure, children, then young people, will put pressure on others, and a very common consequence is the pressure on siblings. The eldest sibling is put under pressure because he is the eldest - the cadet feels like he is less seen by his parents, only commanded by them and gets in addition the pressure of the edlest sibling: if he is not doing the "right" thing, he'll also get a roasting from him...

I recognize such a feeling in the press (as a symbol for very many people) against Greece, and those who receive social benefits too. Something like "I had to do this, now you suffer too".

What to do with this feeling?

First of all, this feeling may be, it's OK, law of nature. But we are no animal anymore: every minute we can make the decision to forgive. To forgive ourselves, that we sometimes are envious, jealous, greedy, intolerant, and so on, and to forgive our brothers for what they have done. To achieve this, we got a large amount of love and maternal forces in the heart at birth... or aren't we?

Yes, the Greeks are our brothers, and we will work together to go through this. We need to work each of us alone and together to look through these old patterns and stop repeating them.

Yes, the banking system urgently needs to be restructured and adjusted for the good of the people of the world, accordingly to the present time. The banking system will not change by itself. It will still look for the best solution for itself and a clear stop from us is necessary, just as we can get a new government with a new election. The current crisis seems like a Monopoly game to me, where one of the player had a better luck and own everything at the end. In a game, we do have the luck that it's over, we can eventually choose to play again, so someone else can experienced how it feels to win. But no one, never, will require to play more if the others have nothing left, and can not earn anything anymore.

Yes, we need a universal unconditional basic income. The right to eat, drink, have a home, a work, ... to live, no matter where we live, ...and maybe as soon as possible in Greece. "Rescue packages" just delay the problem. However, we need first a monetary system that can support such an idea and does not exploit it.

We are all responsible to metamorphose our words turned against the others, to use our voice to co-determine what we want to do for our world. What we change in our respective personal level, will change on the planet level as well. We need networks, we need discussions and debates to make beautiful ideas mature.

... but above all, heart and love ... for peace.
